Growing up in Ohio, playing football was all Isaiah Pead wanted to do. It was his escape from all the stressors in his life. By the time he got to high school, he was one of the top players in the state. He was named Ohio’s Division 4 Player of the Year in 2006 and Division 3 Player of the Year in 2007. He also broke 2-time Heisman Trophy Winner, Archie Griffin’s all-time rushing record. After becoming a standout at the University of Cincinnati, his dreams of playing in the NFL came true when he was the 50th overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft. However, his dreams were cut short just a few years later when he got into a terrible car accident that changed his life forever.
